POW day up at Mennehaha Basin with Karl, Marshell, and Casey!! Just got off work, so tired!! Koosh life! Short post. About to drive up to Silverton to get a head start on the day tomorrow with this storm rollin in! We lapped the North facing trees! Karl and I took four laps and those guys three. Fresh tracks every lap!!! Mad faceshots! First steep pillow line of the year! PRAY TO DAS SNOW GODS!

Snow Report

No new snow. Bad Northwest wind event happened over night. We left Mennehaha yesterday at about 2PM with no slides in the basin, came back this morning and the whole West face of the basin ripped big. About a foot crown. Wind slab. The day before West facing slopes felt great and today super sketchy. I put a high mark with my snowmobile yesterday in the exact spot of the slide and the snow felt great! Things can change quickly. South to Southwest slopes are now wind loaded. Wind crusted, but breakable, snow everywhere. North facing is upside down. It was still super windy up high from the NW. The pictures I took I was standing at 12,400ft. Lots of snow on the way. There is a wind slab and persistent slab present with new snow on the way!! Be very careful out there friends!

I am going to start putting snow reports at the bottom of the days post. I am no snow expert. We are just out here getting after it everyday and I would love to share my observations to the beautiful ski community!! Be safe! Take faceshots!!!!!
