Alaska Heliskiing mobbin deep at Copper Mountain! Steve, Seandogg, Marshell, Danny, Colin, and I all ripped the resort today! We are up here for the SIA OnSnow demo. It was a super fun day! Great to be back in the mountains and snowboarding! Spent the past week in Denver for Outdoor Retailer. And now that is why we are here. So everyone can test all the gear they just saw released a few days ago. I rode two different snowboards today, both Never Summer. One was the Ripsaw and the other was the Funslinger. The Ripsaw was sick!! Aggressive board! I really enjoyed being on that board. Was kind of stiff, but still playful! I also enjoyed the way the Ripsaw landed. Really grabbed on and kept charging! The Funslinger was suuuuuper playful! I have never rode a board like that. I asked for their most playful board that I could butter and jump all over the mountain. It was fun! Never buttered like that before at a resort. Was not really worried about catching an edge while mid butter. Overall both boards were great! I would never buy the Funslinger, not my style, but fun to try. On the other hand, I would buy the Ripsaw. I could only imagine how this thing would charge in some big lines and pillows! Awesome day at the resort rippin with the Alaska boys! Here for another day! Going to demo maybe a carving board and then something huge tomorrow. DUUUUUUMPING in Silverton! Stoked for the friends down there!! Pray to das snow gods!
Snow Report
Copper Mountain. Maybe an inch of new snow overnight, no more. The morning was super cold and then it started to warm up a lot. Mostly sunny. Flurries coming down now. Started around 6 or 7PM. High winds at the top of the lifts. The groomers were nice. Up high was pretty bare and wind buffed. Some hidden pow in the trees!
I just started putting snow reports at the bottom of the days post. I am no snow expert. We are just out here getting after it everyday and I would love to share my observations to the beautiful ski community!! Be safe! Take faceshots!!!!!
