Snowmobiled in the Northern Utah backcountry! We figured work our way towards Jackson and stop somewhere on the way so I could try to ski. Marshell tweaked his knee and wanted a rest day, he is all good just being safe. So we posted up the night before at a pull off where people snowmobile near Logan, Utah. I asked a group of two and they were doing there own thing, no worries! No other groups came by to try to go out with. I snowmobiled up a road for like seven miles or so, then sled necked around in an open field. Snow was decent. Not really much POW, but I was able to hunt some down in some protected trees!! Played around for a while, then headed back down to the bus! I hit 75 MPH on the way down!! CRAAAAAZY!!! Fastest I have gone on a snowmobile! Fun morning and afternoon solo cruising around on the sled!
Snow Report
Northeast of Logan. No new snow. Not as much pow as elsewhere in the surrounding areas. Seemed like wind may have wrecked the area. Sunny day. Probably about 20F. Winds around 10-15MPH. I did not step into any avalanche terrain. East facing cornices had dropped and caused slides on a couple faces off in the distance.
I just started putting snow reports at the bottom of the days post. I am no snow expert. We are just out here getting after it everyday and I would love to share my observations to the beautiful ski community!! Be safe! Take faceshots!!!!!
